We are pleased that you are visiting our website. Protecting your personal data and privacy is particularly important to us at Transquick Language Services. We therefore process the personal data collected when you visit our website or that you submit to us in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). The following notes give you a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified. For detailed information on data protection, please refer to the text below.
Please note that data transmission over the internet (for example when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (for example names, email addresses, etc.).
How do we collect your data?
We process personal data collected when you visit our website in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.
Firstly, your data is collected when you provide it to us, for example by email, telephone or fax.
Other data is collected automatically when you visit the website by our web hosting provider (STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, www.strato.de). This is mainly technical data (for example internet browser, operating system or time of the page request). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.
Enquiries by email, telephone or fax
If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and/or our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us.
The data you send us remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (for example after your request has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Server log files
The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
Cookies and language setting
Our website is available in German, English and Spanish. To remember your language choice, the website sets a technically necessary cookie (pll_language). It contains only the code of the chosen language, is not used for tracking and is deleted after one year at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We do not use any other cookies, analytics or advertising services. Fonts are embedded in the website and are not loaded from external servers.

Our website contains links to external sites, for example to a map service or to the law firm Melletat Rechtsanwälte. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click on such a link. The privacy policies of the respective provider apply to their data processing.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
As a user of our website you have the right:
- pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information on the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining that period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the available information on the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information on its details;
- pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, to request without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of your personal data stored by us;

- pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if you contest the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful but you oppose its erasure, we no longer need the data but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR;
- pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transmission to another controller;
